Discover Henkelmann

Nestled in the beautiful Waldecker Land region of North Hessen, ours is a mid-sized company with a history rich in tradition. Having grown from its origins as a family-run business, by 1924 Henkelmann was an established producer of outstanding sausage and meat products with butchering taking place in the city of Kassel and product sales being conducted in the village butcher shop at Ehringen. The company began outsourcing its slaughtering activities in 1968 and over the years has expanded its business even further. Henkelmann moved to its current location in Volkmarsen in 1988.

In 1995, Henkelmann was the first company in the German meat industry to introduce an HACCP system for ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This was followed in 2000 by the introduction of a DIN/ISO 9001 certified quality management system. Since 2003 Henkelmann has been fully certified according to the International Food Standard, thus ensuring the quality of all Henkelmann products is fully documented.

This tradition of food safety and quality continues today. We use the most modern and up-to-date quality assurance standards and have a conscientious and forward-looking management team. Both bulk buyers and consumers rightly trust the wide variety of fresh products produced daily by Henkelmann.
